I’ve been writing since I could hold a pencil—to paper.  We’re not counting doodling on Mom’s walls, here.  I finished my first ms. back in the 90’s.  It’s still the book of my heart, but a really tough sell.  It’s gotten as far as Marketing at two different houses—Harcourt and Doubleday. I’m finishing up my third manuscript now.  Books Two and Three are romantic suspense/paranormals.  Book Four, which I’m itching to get started on, is going to be a space opera.

Mundane stuff—I live in the Pacific Northwest with a big— really big—brown dog and a bratty tuxedo cat.  I spent nearly twenty-five years in college administration and teaching before I started my own consulting business working to help colleges obtain and manage large federal grants.  I’m a Renaissance Faire fanatic, Firefly Browncoat, SCA fringie, avid cook and dieter.  Currently, I’m making garb for my family for Faire season and learning Irish.  (I wear my “Nerd” t-shirt with great pride.)  I have five wonderful kids—two girls, three boys, three born, two chosen.  And two of the most beautiful, brilliant…well, absolutely amazing grandkids.
